AdaptPH campaign releases new, free to use COVID-19 information materials in Filipino, Cebuano, and Hiligaynon languages on its website www.adapt.ph.

Manila, September 18, 2020 — As part of the ongoing AdaptPH campaign, alumni of the U.S. State Department Young Southeast Asian leaders Initiative (YSEALI) produced informational materials on COVID-19 in Filipino, Hiligaynon, and Cebuano languages.  AdaptPH is a U.S. Embassy in the Philippines-funded nationwide information campaign that encourages Filipinos to observe public safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  The free downloadable information kits are now available on its website (www.adapt.ph).

AdaptPH Project Head Joie Cruz said, “AdaptPH materials have been designed for our local community members.  Local government units can freely reprint and distribute our materials.  Business owners and market vendors can use them to learn more about COVID-19 safety precautions. Parents and teachers can use our materials as a supplement to the education of our youth, and jeepney drivers can learn information from our materials about livelihood alternatives.  We also created open-source jingles that you can play at home, in offices, stores, or public utility vehicles.”

These contextualized materials can be used to help implement proper social distancing, sanitation, and good hygiene practices.  The information kits include informative jingles, and creative printable signs and infographics promoting basic safety protocols and providing accurate information on the COVID-19 pandemic.  AdaptPH also offers learning toolkits and guides for school administrators, teachers, parents, and students on effective strategies for maximizing online learning.

AdaptPH is implemented in partnership with Limitless Lab, Tagani Philippines, and the “Disiplina Muna” Campaign of the Philippine Department of Interior and Local Government.
