The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines oversees U.S. Government-sponsored exchange programs for Filipinos and Americans. Approximately 350 Filipinos and 50 Americans participate in these bilateral exchanges annually. In the Philippines, these exchanges can be categorized into four categories: academic, professional development, youth leadership, and thematic programs. Since the first exchange program in 1948, more than 9,000 Filipino and Americans are exchange alumni. Our alumni are innovators, thought leaders, and key officials in government, business, education and civil society.
