Community Solutions Program (CSP) is a professional leadership development program for the best and brightest community leaders worldwide. Community Solutions Fellows complete a four-month fellowship from August to December with a U.S. nonprofit organization or local government agency. The Community Leadership Institute provides an integrated leadership curriculum and individualized coaching throughout the fellowship. The Fellowships on Indo-Pacific Security Studies (FIPSS) is an executive education program which aims to increase civil society participation in security affairs as well as support the inclusion of women and minority security affairs experts. The Fellowships fund well-qualified security affairs experts to attend educational and networking opportunities at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI-APCSS) in Honolulu, Hawaii. Participants are selected by the Embassy. https://apcss.org/


The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. Participants are current and emerging foreign leaders chosen by the Embassy to participate in short-term visits to the United States to experience the country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts.

The Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) are five- to six-week academic programs focusing on U.S. studies for small groups of foreign professionals, scholars, and teachers. SUSI aims to promote a better understanding of American people and institutions; explore the diversity and culture of the U.S., and develop or expand curricula on U.S. studies in colleges and universities overseas. Hosted by universities and colleges throughout the United States., SUSIs offer a balance between academic and experiential learning through an intensive academic program, educational and cultural site visits, educational travel to a different regions of the U.S., and opportunities to build relationships with American peers.

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program offers mid-career professionals 10 months of non-degree academic study and professional exposure in the United States. Humphrey Fellows are selected based on their potential for leadership and their commitment to public service in either the public or the private sector. The Humphrey Program fosters a mutual exchange of knowledge and understanding about issues of common concern in the United States and the Fellows’ home countries. Approximately 200 fellowships are awarded yearly and are hosted at thirteen major U.S. universities.
