Peace Corps receives a Special Citation in Volunteerism from the PNVSCA

Congratulations to Peace Corps for receiving a Special Citation in Volunteerism from the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) in their 2017 “Search for Outstanding Volunteers.” The award was presented as part of the National Volunteer Month 2017 celebration!

Since 1961, Peace Corps has deployed more than 9,000 volunteers in the Philipppines.  Volunteers have provided technical assistance and collaborated with local partners in the fields of education, environment, and social sciences.

The award ceremony was held on December 15, 2017 at the Crown Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas, Quezon City. Receiving the award for Peace Corps was Paul Negley, Peace Corps Philippines Director for Management and Operations.
