Message for U.S. Citizens: Consular Agency in Cebu – Pre-planned Closure and Limited Services Until Further Notice

The U.S. Consular Agency in Cebu will offer limited services April 17 to 21 and will be closed to the public for all services from April 24 to May 19, 2017. (As a reminder, the U.S. Consular Agency will also be closed on April 13 to 14, 2017 in observance of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.)  For emergency services, please contact American Citizen Services at the U.S. Embassy in Manila by telephone at +(63) (2) 301-2000 or by email at ACSInfoManila@state.gov. This pre-planned closure is unrelated to the security message released April 9 informing U.S. citizens of a travel advisory for Central Visayas.

Limited service will be available on the following dates:

  • April 17-20, 2017: The U.S. Consular Agency will be open only for inquiries and emergency assistance. Services for Passport, Notary, and Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) will not be available.
  • April 21, 2017: The U.S. Consular Agency will offer routine service for notaries, legal capacity to marry affidavits, and passports during normal walk-in hours from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Applications for Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) will be accepted by appointment only. To book a CRBA appointment with Cebu, please email AmConCebCRBA@state.gov. Limited appointments are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • May 22-26, 2017: The U.S. Consular Agency will offer routine service for notaries, legal capacity affidavits and passports during normal walk-in hours from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Applications for Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) will be accepted by appointment only. To book a CRBA appointment with Cebu, please email AmConCebCRBA@state.gov. Limited appointments are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
