EducationUSA Hosts Filipino Senior HS Students at Annual College Application Drive

ManilaOctober 27, 2021 — The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines and EducationUSA, the U.S. government’s official source of information on U.S. higher education, are inviting all senior students in high school to attend EducationUSA’s annual application drive on Friday, October 29, at 7:15 p.m. 

At the virtual program, students interested in studying in the United States will have an opportunity to seek free guidance on their college applications and requirements.  Education advisors, U.S. university alumni, and other experts will provide real-time college advising on Zoom during the application drive.  Parents and school administrators are also welcome to join.

Since 2019, EducationUSA advisees have received Php115 million ($2.3 million) worth of financial aid from accredited U.S. higher education institutions.   

EducationUSA provides free advising services to prospective international students in more than 170 countries and offers students resources and tools to help navigate the five steps to U.S. study: researching schools, identifying financial aid opportunities, completing applications, obtaining a student visa, and preparing for departure.  There are more than 4,700 accredited higher education institutions in the United States, and an EducationUSA adviser can help students narrow their options, define their priorities, and plan their college careers.  EducationUSA does not offer scholarships but can assist students in identifying scholarship and financial assistance opportunities.
