Emergency Contact

The Embassy’s main telephone number is (+63) 2 5301-2000. U.S. citizens needing emergency assistance may call the American Citizen Services Unit during normal operating hours of 7:30am-4:30pm. Outside of normal business hours, U.S. citizens experiencing an emergency may call and request to be connected to the officer on duty.

Callers in the United States may also contact the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Overseas Citizen Services toll free at 1-888-407-4747 (from overseas call 1-202-501-4444).

Social Security

You may contact us in a variety of ways, but the most efficient way is by sending an email to FBU.Manila@ssa.gov. We generally respond within five (5) business days from the date of receipt.

To assist you with your concerns, we may ask for your Social Security Number (SSN), your date of birth and/or banking information. Providing this information is optional; however, we may need this information to answer your questions and fully assist you.

In-Office Appointments

To ensure the health and safety of our clients and staff, our in-person services are limited to appointment only. Currently, appointments are available on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM. To schedule an appointment, please email FBU.Manila@ssa.gov and we will contact you to schedule the appointment. Please note that electronic devices (e.g., cell phones, laptops, etc.) are not allowed inside the Embassy.
