Consular Update: American Citizen Services (Passport & Citizenship)
3 MINUTE READ
June 19, 2020

The American Citizen Services (ACS) unit continues to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens.  Routine consular services remain suspended as a result of the community quarantine.  Since passport printing centers in the United States have suspended operations effective April 2, 2020, the shipment of U.S. passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBAs) to U.S. Embassies overseas has been affected. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding.

ACS is able to print limited-validity emergency passports for U.S. citizens with urgent travel needs.  If you need an emergency passport, please email the ACS unit in advance at ACSInfoManila@state.gov and request an appointment to apply in person.  On the subject line, please write “Emergency Passport”.

You can find U.S. passport requirements here: https://ph.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/ and CRBA requirements here: https://ph.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/child-family-matters/birth/first-time-report-birth-abroad/

We also encourage you to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive alerts as we update U.S. citizens on the current situation as well the resumption of our normal operations: step.state.gov.
