Project Summary: The Project covered the preservation and restoration of the Church’s deteriorated wooden “retablo”, inlcuding the replacement of missing ornamentations. Specific scope of work included: a) photographic documentation and assessment on the condition of the main retablo and associated ornamentation; b) termite treatment of the insect-infested wood, replacement of the deteriorated planks and ornaments, and mechanical and chemical cleaning of the painted surfaces; c) woodwork, paint consolidation and retouching of faded paintings; d) repair of electrical wirings and installation of acceptable electrical lamps; and e) final surface coating.

Citation: The San Isidro Labrador Church is listed as a National Cultural Treasure in the Philippine Registry of Cultural Properties.
